Lauren Belskey 

 

Lauren Belskey, RAD RTS is the founder and owner of Center Stage Performing Arts Academy. She has been teaching dance locally for over a decade, where she has directed and choreographed for many dance companies, teams and other organizations.  Lauren graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County as a Linehan Scholar with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance. She was a member of Major Definition, UMBC Dance Team and UMBC BAS Hip Hop Team and choreographed and danced for dance department shows while at UMBC. Lauren holds her Certificate of Ballet Teaching Studies and is a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance.   She has a background in Early Childhood Dance Education, Modern, Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Tap and Tumbling.   Lauren has extensive pageant experience as a titleholder and then coach in the Miss America Organization.  

 

Lauren resides in Mount Airy with her husband and three young daughters. You can find her around the studio sharing her love of dance with students in the classroom, greeting families and watching her children having fun in classes. Lauren is proud to have created a space in the community that cultivates dance and arts education in a safe and nurturing environment.
