Kaitlyn Rutherford â€‹

Kaitlyn Rutherford was raised in Mt. Airy, MD and started ballet training at the age of 3 with the Howard County Ballet. She performed with HCB for over 12 years, where she got to play the role of Clara in ‘The Nutcracker’. She furthered her ballet studies by auditioning for the summer intensive programs at the Kirov Academy in Washington DC and the Boston Ballet, where she was accepted and attended. Kaitlyn expanded training in other dance forms by taking master classes at Broadway Dance Center in NYC and competing in a dance company in multiple styles. Kaitlyn graduated with a Bachelors of Social Work from Texas A&M University- Central Texas while her husband was stationed at Fort Hood. She worked as a social worker in Florida before settling back in Maryland with their two children. Kaitlyn was introduced to Center Stage when her daughter wanted to start ballet, and they both started classes. Kaitlyn is excited to be a part of the Center Stage family as an Instructor, where she enjoys the relationships with the dancers and their families and assist them in fulfilling all their goals and passions!
