Addison Merrill​
Addison is a senior at South Carroll High School as well as the Carroll County Career and Technology Center, where she studies in the Criminal Justice program. She is an active member of her school community, serving in the National Honor Society and earning an academic letter for maintaining straight A’s throughout high school. Addison has been dancing for 15 years, beginning at the age of 3 in her hometown of Evans, Georgia, where she primarily trained in ballet, jazz, and tap. At age 11, after moving to Mount Airy, Addison joined Center Stage and expanded her training to include contemporary and hip hop. Two years later, she became a member of the Center Stage Dance Company competition team, where she has enjoyed competing with her teammates for the past five years. Throughout her dance career, has received multiple awards and scholarships for both group and solo performances, and recently earned an esteemed Distinction marking in the RAD Classical Ballet Repertoire Level 2 exam. In addition to training and competing, she has been an assistant teacher for three years and is actively involved within the studio community. Following high school, Addison plans to attend college to pursue a degree in forensics or medical sciences, with the goal of becoming a forensic pathologist.
