Nathan Waters
Nathan Waters started dance at the age of 4 under the instruction of his Father Thomas F. Waters at Artistic Dance Center. Thru the years he learned many disciplines such as ballet, tap, contemporary, and many more. At the age of 15 Nathan had the opportunity to take several classes from the cast of the Bring in da Noise Bring in da Funk in New York City. It was at the moment, he fell in love with the art of Tap dance. In 1999, he won the title of Mr. Dance of Chapter 17 for Dance Masters of America. That summer he flew to California for their annual National Dance Convention to compete with some of the top dancers in the Nation. That same summer he was given the opportunity to perform in 42nd Street at Toby’s Dinner Theater in Columbia, MD. In Nathan’s mid twenty’s he worked several years with Cecil Dance Theater performing in several productions, such as The Nutcracker and Cinderella. In addition to his performing abilities, Nathan has also taught many master classes for various studio’s and dance organizations. In 2014 He judged Dance Masters of America Chapter 17’s Title and performing arts competition. Nathan’s love and passion for dance allows him to continue to spread the beautiful art of dance to his students and peers.
